North west and shielding

I'm trying to makes sense of the new restrictions. I've not seen a map of the area the new restrictions apply to-is there one available (and I've just missed it as I'm not fully awake yet)?
I'm shielded and today would be the last day for that but has that now changed as I live within the greater Manchester boundary?
The weekly garden chat with mum is now out the window for when she comes to get her shopping that's delivered here with mine (so that we only use one slot rather than two and she doesn't have to risk the shops).
Last I looked cases were up by 8 in my area and now it's over 50 in the last week.

Shielding in Leicester was extended till 17th August. I would have thought that they would do similar in the other areas that have new restrictions.

Regardless of what the government say I would be continuing shielding if I lived there and was able to. I am in a much lower risk area but won't be rushing to go out and about after the 1st.

I'm not planning on unshielding myself but other people will expect me to do so. Maybe watching the news will provide more info than reading it. The government website hadn't been updated when I looked last night.

Shielding can still stop according to gov update unless you live in Blackburn.

" unless they live in Blackburn with Darwen in the north-west and other local affected areas across England where shielding continues."

wtf does that mean? Has shielding been extended in Bradford and Manchester or is it just Blackburn with Darwen?
