School run

DD's CM has said that under the current guidelines only 6 being able to gather outside and this includes the school run. My CM has more than that so unless it changes she can't collect and take DD to school

This seems to be something that many people don't know. How will lots of parents manage in September?

I don't think your CM is right about this breaking guidelines. If she is looking after more than 6 children it's alright for her to take them all out with her - that includes places like waiting outside of school. I'd expect her to wait (with all the mindees) 2m away from anyone else.

All the people in the playground isn't really a "gathering" - or everyone in the playground would contravene the rule - it's more like there being lots of people in a park.

I don't see this is any different to a family of more than 6 going out together.

The guidelines say that they can take them outside as long as it follows the Government guidelines on number of people from separate households. There's no clause for school runs or anything like that.
