Just sharing this for info really, might be useful.

I note it mentions this isn't time for crash diets.

Good article.

I think that's one reason why I haven't had a cold even for over 10 years. I take a hefty dose of vitamin D3 (plus K2) every day and effervescent vitamin C tab to aid the absorption of iron.

My zinc was low on my last blood test so I have added that into the mix.

Pleased you have shared this for others. So many not thinking of improving immunity right now and just focusing on social distancing and masks.

Vit c, d, B complex and zinc are staples for me and have been for some time. I do wish the government and media would highlight the benefits more!

I saw this headline in the times going on about how diets are the answer not exercise...it made me think about how not much is mentioned about nutrition in general - also sleep, stress and health in general. Focusing just on diets, after people have been home for a long time, is maybe not the best idea or the whole picture. And may even leave people with deficiencies if they don't eat well. Especially in older people who need the nourishment. Also it can be possible to be obese and malnourished, depending on what you eat...

I absolutely agree, I’ve always taken interest in my overall well-being but it’s something I’ve had to research it’s not information readily available. Our gut health is rarely looked at, but is imperative in our bodily function. I do wonder how many people now at home more aren’t as conscious about what they’re eating, they may be more active but Not have the interest in what they’re consuming.

If we only require an hour or two or exercise per day, it highlights the importance of what is on our plates.

I personally believe exercising at home has become so important in our day to day lives. We all find ourselves stuck at home every now and again and its vital that we stay fit and healthy.

It is hard to stay motivated to exercise at home and often there is very little space for us to exercise in. I think workout videos on platforms such as YouTube have been a blessing for most of us - they're so helpful for so many different kinds of workouts.

Does anyone know where I can find any reasonably priced basic gym equipment because it all seems so expensive. I also struggle with it getting far too hot even with fans on and windows open and I would love to know how any of you get around this problem.

Exercise at home though has been very beneficial for me, my husband and my 2 kids!

Look up calisthenics. No equipment needed at all. Is all using your own body weight.

Gosh - you've made my day!

Someone posting an article on nutrition that isn't some crazy fad-diet invented by a snake-oil salesman!

Thank you for sharing
