Scotland Restrictions & Schools

Do we know what is going on yet? I’m so confused about if kids are going back or not. In fact I’m confused about lots of things with these constantly changing and unclear restrictions.

I’m feeling so incredibly low at the moment and it 100% due to the restrictions we are facing over this pandemic. I just can’t find out anywhere for sure what is happening and it’s just making me feel so hopeless. At the end of term it sounded as though they were but then they seemed to change their wording. I really don’t know how much more of this I can take. I see that Spain is now facing increases in cases again. I suspect we’ll be in for another lockdown before the end of the year. It’s just such a deeply depressing daunting thought.

Is Sturgeon’s statement next Thursday expected to clarify if the schools are opening or not?

It was confirmed last month they would be going back full time if the suppression of the virus continued, which it has.

Send an email to the children’s school staff will be in before school starts back. Secretaries are often in to receive and sort parcels, supplies etc it is a fallacy that staff have 6 weeks holiday and never go in.

Final decision will be announced next Thursday (30th) but the plan A is full return to school.Swinney keeps reiterating this is subject to continued suppression Of the virus, but has not stated how this will be measured.

@Bowerbird5 no individual school will be able to say for certain, until the ScotGov announcement on the 30th.
