Should I get a test?

Feel like I might be getting a cold, slightly sore throat, slightly stuffy nose. Tiny bit of a headache. All very minor. Do I go for a test or is that overkill?

I just posted this on another thread but the past few days I've also had that cold is coming feeling - tired, stuffy feeling in nose, dry throat. Pre-Covid, I wouldn't think it was anything other than a cold but now I'm thinking it must be Covid! Particularly as it seems like hardly anyone has colds at the moment so where would I have got it from?! (Though maybe there are some colds going around considering people are posting about these symptoms!).

But anyway, I'm logging symptoms on the Zoe app and that recommended getting a test so I've got one to do tomorrow.

Yes I would recommend getting a test. It's very easy to book one online and you'll probably get the results in less than 24 hours.

That the only way you'll know for sure. If necessary anyone you've been in contact with can be appropriately warned, rather than you just trying to guess what you have and whether you should isolate or not.
