Just interested about your first symptoms looking back before your illness x

And I think in most places, there's the option to do either.

Sassenach85 · 23/07/2020 19:54

Thank you, I don’t feel anxious yet I think I’m in denial lol Grin I don’t feel too bad but it deffo feels like I’m “getting something” and I’ve only just started doing things again! Parks and play dates mostly ...

My throat is a little sore, my sinuses have been playing up, and I feel a bit funny. Almost light headed. Buzzing? Not sure if that describes it. I've been isolating, but had to take my son to a&e last Saturday. Could be hay fever. It does play up.

Silversun83 · 23/07/2020 20:22

Yep, I've definitely got that 'getting something' feeling - I think because it's been so long since I've had a cold that I've almost forgotten exactly what it feels like so that adds to the paranoia!

Yeah, same here. Trying to tell myself that there are probably still colds going around.. Despite the social-distancing..

Ponoka7 · 23/07/2020 20:39

I'm over 50. My wee turned orange and I thought that I was getting shingles. Now ee know that they are symptoms in the 45+ age group. Then I felt like I was getting a deep chest infection. I recovered quite well.

My DD, fit and healthy 22 years old started to feel hot. She then thought she had hay-fever, then her throat was really sore. She fainted in work (key worker). She had similar to a bad flu, completely wiped out and lived off ice pops for a week. Then the cough started. She had no appetite. She's had raging throat infections in the past and said that they didn't compare to this. It took around a month for her to start to get back to normal. She still has a bad cough.

Ponoka7 · 23/07/2020 20:40

My 32 year old friend thought that she and her children had a bout of hay-fever. Sje only knows that she's had it because she is taking part in antibody trials.

Ponoka7 · 23/07/2020 20:42

@Silversun83, my DD has just had a heavy cold and I've just had something, but we tested negative. We both practice SD etc. So there are things still going round.

LarkDescending · 24/07/2020 02:22

Mine started like this (in March):

Day 1: sudden feeling of dizziness and vice-like headache, very tired.
Day 2: fever of 38.7%, new persistent cough, vomiting, no appetite, headache, chills.

I will spare you the rest!

Shopaholic100 · 24/07/2020 09:48

Has anyone had numbness/ tingling toes or feet as a symptom? I’ve had that for a few days, just had the test and waiting for the results. Don’t have any other symptoms.

Ormally · 24/07/2020 22:17

No way...late periods?!
I think I have had it then, early Feb. Was due but late day in, day out. None of the expected respiratory symptoms except for a crushing sensation at the bra line which went with a kind of heartburn or acid reflux that would produce something like a short choke. Burning eyes. But I was very sick, so sick for 6 days that little water going in meant I could hardly urinate. Was A&E-d for a drip twice, liver enzymes a bit concerning for a while but not oxygen readings. Random racing heart in the second half of the bad 6 days. No test as would not have connected those dots once the first symptom lists came out.

SabrinaTheTeenageBitch · 24/07/2020 23:29

Week we went into lockdown I was in kitchen making lunch and came over really dizzy. Told DH I needed to lie down and didn't get out of bed for two weeks. Lethargy was extreme, dizziness lasted a week constantly all day feeling like I was drunk and my heart was racing non stop. Spoke to Dr via 111 and they said it was anxiety Hmm

SabrinaTheTeenageBitch · 24/07/2020 23:29

Should add it was never a confirmed case but as more symptoms are coming to light I am wondering

Silversun83 · 27/07/2020 20:44

@sassenach85 - Just to let you know that my test was negative! Phew! It was all quite straightforward - did test Fri at 4pm, put it in post, then had the result Saturday evening.

The getting something feeling has mostly worn off though still feel it a little at times.. Not developed into anything other than a few sneezes though. Think probably a bit of recent stress and being run down 🤷‍♀️

How are you feeling now?

Sassenach85 · 27/07/2020 21:23

Thanks so much for letting me know @silversun83

I don’t feel as bad I still feel a bit off... that’s good news you’re okay though. I guess the world is full of other germs all waiting for us to start mingling again lol

I’ve suddenly developed a terrible cough out of nowhere today. Slight sore head but no other symptoms. I’ll have to book a test if I still have the cough tomorrow but I can’t imagine how I’ve caught covid if I have got it. I’m a key worker (not front line) and have had one day off since Christmas, today is the first day of a 2 week break!

Sassenach85 · 29/07/2020 22:33

How are you feeling @Californiabakes x

OP posts:
Californiabakes · 29/07/2020 23:05

Still got a bit of a cough and headache but overall much better thanks. I had a covid test and was negative. I was very impressed with the testing, extremely efficient and got the results within 12 hours.

Sassenach85 · 30/07/2020 00:11

I have to say, I’ve been on a fair few threads (reading them) and so many people have said they have had a negative test. I haven’t seen one person say they had a positive. Obv those people are really ill.... but the people who think they might have it and mention it online and people say get a test - never seem to have it lol glad you don’t btw! Just pondering lol

@Shopaholic100, I read somewhere that chilblains can be a covid feature. Also I saw my 61 yo brother last week - he had mild symptoms including chilblains in March (before you got tested if you weren’t an inpatient). His other symptoms were cough to start with, then headache and chest pain (like a tight band round his ribs). Then huge fatigue that lasted a few weeks. He feels fine now. It seems very likely it was covid19 but no test.

Sunny4876 · 30/07/2020 00:20

My daughter's come out in weird rash and I worry it's covid,no other symptoms though so none of the top 3 required for testing.

ToLongNow · 30/07/2020 00:25

Yesterday sore throat and felt abit poop

Last night partner had a temperature

Today i felt ok, tonight, feel sick, abit of a sore throat, headache and my eyes hurt

Partner had been ok all day, but just had a very bad case of upset stomach

Hmm
wildthingsinthenight · 30/07/2020 00:25

Mine started in March with feeling lightheaded, coughing (only mildly though) and this very odd feeling in my chest when I breathed in. Like my breath was hot and l had inhaled talc. I saw someone say they felt like they had feathers in their chest when they breathed in and that is a good way to describe it. Bit hot temp wise but not raging

wildthingsinthenight · 30/07/2020 00:27

Week 3 horrendous migraines too. Joint pains throughout. Great fun. On about week 20 now still suffering...Confused
