Is anyone planning a caravan holiday in UK?
Haven are advertising as limited facilities but just wondered now more is 'open' in the country whether Thier pools and kids activities will be opened up?

We are off next week to haven but we only paid 300 pounds for the week. I booked as soon as Boris made his speech re: caravan sites.

I’ve since looked at the price for the same week and it has literally doubled.

For the price I paid I’m not bothered if nothing is open but I wouldn’t pay anything more tbh just for a van. Some parks have the arcades and parks open, I think it’s pot luck at the minute.

Walked through my local camp today and it was busier than I thought tbh and looked all open. The outdoor pool was open and the restaurants, arcades etc...

Looked like business as usual

Oh, ok.thanks.

Yeah, we've paid a much cheaper price than usual. Just wondered if as the lockdown has eased if they have also opened the pools etc.

Will be glad if it's quite tho

A friend of mine is due to go to haven next week (booked as a haven hideaway, ie no pools, entertainment etc). When the announcement was made re opening swimming pools she rang the haven site to ask if they would be able to now use the pool. They said no as her break was heavily discounted to reflect no pool etc, she asked if they would be able to pay to use the pool and was told no - The pool will only be open for people who own caravans on the site. I was a bit gutted to be honest as we are going to a different haven next month and was hoping we might be able to use the pool. But we purposely chose a site with great beaches on the doorstep so fingers crossed for decent weather!

That's useful to know. But a bit of a shame to not use the pool, even the outdoor pool would be good.

We are travelling to parkdean Isle of Wight on friday for 5 nights and we’ve been told the pools are open.

Our local ones are open with nothing on the sites open, which means the town is absolutely PACKED.
