I know that you can use public transport if its unavoidable. We don't drive and I have a trip promised to the youngest DS since pre lockdown which would involve a train journey and to and from an activity and probably getting food out whilst there.
Obviously this is completely avoidable as it isn't a necessary trip. I have no problem with all of us wearing masks for the duration of the trip it's only half an hour or so. So can we take non essential trips on the train?

Yes it’s fine.

Yes of course.

Plenty of people have been travelling into London from here for Kew Gardens etc. since they opened.

It's fine. Obviously try and avoid the train that hits a big city at 08:30 or leaves at 17:00 unless there is no alternative and wear a mask but if you can't travel by other means it is now permitted to use public transport.

Of course it's fine.
