When does a bubble become a community?

The word bubble was initially used to describe an extension (of one person who lives alone) to a household.

Now the term bubble is being used to describe communities in schools of 30+ children. Why? Because it’s a nice friendly word?? Because we’ve already accepted “bubble” as quite a safe term? It’s feels misleading.

Surely it’s a ridiculous description for 30 people that have families and lives outside of the bubble?? And surely 240 is only there to make 30 seem less ridiculous??

A micro community perhaps, but they’ll be chains in and out. It’s not a bubble.
