Because I've been up since 4am with it and I don't not what else it could be. I'm sure I read on here that it was someone's first symptom.

It definitely is a symptom, but that doesn’t mean you have it. Stay home, check your temperature and rest up. I really hope it’s not coronavirus.

How are you doing? Hope you are ok. Flowers

It is a symptom but it's also a symptom of any kind of digestive upset or stomach bug or food poisoning. So I wouldn't assume it was coronavirus.

It was my first symptom. I then developed ascending muscle and joint pain, high temperature then the cough came last.

Helenj1977 · 14/07/2020 15:52

Thanks all. Still feel a bit weird and hot and cold but much better now. If I get a cough of high temp I'll get a test but I thinks just a weird something.

I'm dreading winter when the coughs and colds start.

It is a symptom. I had a high temp, 37.8 which was followed by diarrhoea and then aching all over the body and sore throat, aswell as awful fatigue. I had a test that was negative and 2 further tests, all negative 🤷‍♀️

JulyBreeze · 14/07/2020 17:12

I'd say get a test, you need to know whether to isolate.

Windyone · 14/07/2020 17:13

@DontDoItGeorge wouldn’t you say then that you didn’t have Covid?

HeresMe · 14/07/2020 17:53

It can be a symptom, but It can be a symptom of lots of things.

You say there is nothing else it can be well do you not eat anything then.

DontDoItGeorge · 14/07/2020 21:13

@Windyone yes, like I say I tested negative. I don't really understand what you mean.

Kitmerow · 14/07/2020 21:34

@DontDoItGeorge in your case then, it wasn’t a symptom of coronavirus.

DontDoItGeorge · 14/07/2020 21:38

I know it wasnt a symptom of coronavirus in my case! But the OP asked if it was a symptom, and yes it can be.
I was trying to reassure the OP that it doesn't necessarily mean coronavirus even tho its one of the symptoms.
Hope you feel better soon OP Flowers

It can be yes, I also remember hearing it is often an early/first symptom. I think it would be best to get a test.

Inkpaperstars · 15/07/2020 00:16

Ps, I don't mean that I think you have covid, just that it is best to test out of an abundance of caution to avoid passing anything on, even if you feel better.
