It seems as though Mumsnet has calmed down since people were being told they were murderers a couple of months ago.

I’m cautious. I don’t know if CV is going away and things will return to the old normal or if it will come back with a vengeance in autumn.

At the moment? No. Not about the virus. I think we need to take advantage of this lull (in the UK, I mean. It's guns a blazin' in other parts of the world right now), get back to normal (new normal, I guess with a good dose of old normal thrown in for good measure) and prepare to face lockdown again in the winter. And this will probably be the pattern until there's a vaccine. That's my humble take on things.

For those who are unhappy about things not going back, I would like to understand their POV more.

There are quite a few people saying 'we have to get back to normal' but I feel I have let a lot of stuff go, maybe for a long time.

I feel more keen to get to new ways of doing things, I assume more covid-appropriate social events etc will become the norm.

I am very worried about the economy, but is there more to your preference to get back to normal than the economy alone? You don't have to answer of course but I am genuinely interested.

Yes of course I'm still worried. I don't understand people who aren't. I am also worried about losing my job, which is looking ever more likely. It's possible to worry about me or my family getting sick and job losses at the same time.
