Verifying my identity for a home test - anyone had problems?

I have been trying to book a home test since yesterday but the online system keeps saying it can’t verify my identity! I have given it my name, address, nhs number and national insurance number - how much more verified can I get??

I have tried the help system but they just say go to a drive through - which would be great if I owned a car!

Has anyone else had trouble accessing tests?

Yes I had the same problem Confused I haven't found a solution yet so watching with interest!

Same problem here! I also don’t drive. Hope they make testing centres more accessible for people on foot/cycling ASAP.

Yes, ours never worked. Had to call the helpline and they helped to order it.

Ok we managed to get one ordered - for some reason they could id my husband who is also getting a test (he now has a temp) and we added me on as the second household person.

I really don’t think it is corona because neither of us have a cough but better to know for sure I suppose!

It's not particularly relevant whether you have a cough or not, many people don't. Glad you got it sorted, hope many others don't have these sort of problems!

I couldn't prove my ID a home test either at the time I needed tests so DH drove me in the end.
Regarding symptoms I didn't get a cough at all until 6 or 7 days in, and even then it was slight and short- lived. You only need one of the 3 main symptoms to get a test. Good luck.

I’ve had this issue too - I phoned up and they were able to send a test
