kitchen sink hygiene

I have a housemate who goes for long bicycle rides late in the day. When he returns he is sweaty and has collected dust/dirt on him. He has no qualms about washing his face in the kitchen sink. I have told him that this is very unsanitary. He has his own bathroom with a lavatory bowl where he can do his personal washing. I prepare my food in the sink and I wash my dishes there too.
Any thoughts from people out there?

I think it’s pretty gross but easily washed away with some hot water and washing up liquid
I don’t what the link is with the coronavirus topic though?

So you would rather he washed his face in the lavatory bowl?

Tbh, it wouldn't bother me, using the kitchen sink. You wash your hands in it and I am sure that there are far more germs on those than on a sweaty face. Any germs will surely be washed down the plughole with the hot soapy water.
