Have you started taking young children out?

Our children have been only to parks and woods for our exercise since lockdown began. They are 3 and 1. We have started to see family, mostly at our home too. Has anyone started to take the children out, to shops or anything yet? I don't really know what to do as my eldest is getting bored.

Yes. DD is back at nursery & if I need go take her to the shop I will. Although I tend to try avoid it because of the queuing. My 3 year old has zero patience! I also take my 16 week old to the local shops since they opened in the pram .. we went to 3 local parks yesterday & we’ve been to the zoo today!

We’ve seen family/friends in the garden & i don’t ask my 3 year old to distance. We just wash hands regularly & don’t encourage cuddles/hand holding etc..

DC has been out 3 times since lockdown began, each time to local park the last time she got to play on the equipment to her utter delight.
We had a social distance BBQ with the grandparents a couple of weeks ago.

We will stay close to home for a while yet the first people we are likely to see her her best friend who's mum is very ill at the moment so if we can help out there we will take the kids out.
