People hammered at pubs several fights and a knife pulled , police everywhere, air ambulance all in my local town.....awful at the best of times

Pretty quiet here locally, I think the media like to deliberately pick the worst case scenario and make it look even worse than it was just to grab a few headlines.

The thing is, social distancing can happen in pubs but then people get drunk and it all goes out the window. Not that that is an issue unique to pubs. It’s just a bit depressing when I feel like I can’t see my family too much (outside) as I’m teaching full time (maybe silly of me but it’s how I feel), but then some people seem to have no qualms piling on their mates for hugs? I sort of wish I had that mentality!!
