My sewing machine broke on me as I was trying to make my own but there are loads of patterns on line. I made one with a filter pocket before it broke and it was very easy.

As I can't get the machine fixed at the moment I ended up ordering from Baukjen. They haven't arrived yet so can't comment on comfort etc but they have great reviews, are profit free and made from fabric offcuts.

Worth having the nose wire, a must if you wear glasses. Allegedly you can use pipe cleaners.

Yes, I used a pipe cleaner but there are also metal bridges you can buy from Amazon and EBay. This is the pattern I used. sarahmaker.com/how-to-sew-a-surgical-face-mask-for-hospitals-free-pattern/

Face masks have been madatory in my area for a while now and I have several different types from different brands and home made - all resuable.
I much prefer the N95 (foamy stuff) type of mask. It is the most comfortable to wear and does not interfere with my glasses.
With the other (cloth type) masks I have to make adjustments to the nose bit and the strings or they feel loose and floppy. The metal strips from old file folders make good nose bridges.

All the local tailors are now making them, and of course the shops are now open. My local one is selling lovely, well made ones for £4, in lovely materials. Worth looking out for your local tailor.
