Ds 16 belongs to a national youth group, they have planned to be travelling to Croatia in August for a water sports trip.
Today we have been told that the trip has been moved to next year. Ds can’t make the dates next year as he is planning on taking part in a trip for his 6th form for 2 weeks - the trip would help his course (Same dates).
Insurance have said they can’t offer refund as government have said fine to travel now. The youth group has said they are not giving permission for any trips to go ahead before October.
What would you think is fair here? I’d love for them to try and resell the spot.... but they won’t. Trip was £850.
