The official number of cases globally is now nearly 11 million. I assume the actual number is far higher, but even taken at that figure I believe it's increased by about a million in a week. The death toll is now over half a million. It's just going to infect an horrendous number of people worldwide, isn't it? I realise there are other diseases that have high death tolls especially in poorer countries which are terrible too, but this just looks like it is going to keep on spreading more and more quickly without end. The whole thing is just awful.
