Masks

So apparently it's compulsory to wear one on public transport (around 1/3 not wearing one, many others with noses exposed, but that's no my point) i can't see and wear a mask because my glasses steam immediately - any ideas otherwise I will be joining the 1/3 + without a mask or my nose exposed - it's dangerous not being able to clearly see!

If your glasses steam, you are probably wearing them incorrectly. Mine did until someone pointed it to me. Now I wear them correctly and I have no issues.
(Talking about the blue/white non medical but look medical type ones)

I wear glasses, make sure you have the type of mask with the metal bit in.

You want the mask to go right up to the top of your cheeks, under the bottom edge of your glasses, and the metal bit to mold the mask to a tight seal across the top of your nose.

I wear glasses and neither the homemade ones nor the medical one I was given at the hospital made my glasses steam up. I'm assuming you have the mask tucked under the rims over your nose?

If your glasses steam up it's not fitted correctly.

Thanks @TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 tried but still steaming up, must be my nose position. I'm resorting to a scarf now which is better because my ears ache from the elastic (8 hours on trains/waiting at stations so quite sore)

Have you tried washing your glasses with soapy water and then letting it air dry?

It took me a while to learn how to position mine correctly. I wash my hands, put the mask on and then have to wipe my glasses a few times until they warm up.

I know a thing, OP. Try twisting the ear loops as you put the mask on.
