Welcome all. I'm sad that many of us are still here but at least we have each other. The other thread is full, hence this new one.

Welcome anyone else who is struggling with a long recovery from COVID. They're a supportive lot, here.

Btw the specialists that have consulted with long haulers and suggested POtS or dysautomnia as explanations have said that it is highly likely to resolve with time. So if you do look up those things understand that is not necessarily going to be long term - just a feature of post covid recovery for a proportion of people.
Sorry I will shut up now!

I'm going to bloody cry. I just went to the pharmacy for my flucozanol and it's not there. I called the doctor's surgery and they said I'll have to come in because there was only a locum doctor on(?). They told me yesterday I'd have a prescription waiting for me this morning and at some point changed their minds but didn't tell me. The thrush is just getting worse no matter what natural thing I do. It's crept up into my lips overnight. Now I'm waiting on a call back when the doctor is available.

Women up feeling sick, hot (no real fever but was like this at the start) and dodgy stomach feeling.
Why am I getting all this again, at possibly 18 weeks in? Feels like I’m virally sick again and not the after effects.
Very sore left middle finger too and burning right arm. Mentally I don’t feel great either, feel like crying. This feels neverending.

MillStone · 29/07/2020 10:49

@alittleprivacy you could buy it online and have it delivered soon www.ukmeds.co.uk/fluconazole?_ga=2.217755285.2063587714.1596015778-1871107395.1589395708&_gac=1.229495150.1596015784.Cj0KCQjwvIT5BRCqARIsAAwwD-TtPTiS7ZP8ZNnYEzBJokE0K3c1S4-auj2wl5eLQEs6dO_SGlwJj8gaAjKdEALw_wcB

@TiddleTaddleTat I truly believe any Autonomic issues are temporary. My heart, pulse and blood pressure are all over the place in the AM but resolve throughout the day. At bed time they’re normal. Something happens at about 1-2 am and this is when the cycle starts overs. I have wondered if it happens after my 1st nightly sleep cycle — possibly following a deep sleep. Just a theory. An informal chat with an expert in these matters would be interesting.

@Whatnext2018 sorry you’re struggling Flowers

TiddleTaddleTat · 29/07/2020 10:56

@MillStone yes, similar pattern to me. Mornings have been the worst , I improve through the day.
However I'm hopeful things are moving in the right direction as I'm noticing my mind is becoming increasingly active when I wake in the morning: I've always been an early riser. In the past week or two I've naturally woken at 7.30/8 and my mind is active right away. I'm feeling more like 'me' which is such a relief.

BeautifulPark · 29/07/2020 10:57

Thank you all, it's so reassuring to share with you all in this way.
Hopefully, there will be light at the end of the tunnel for us all.

AndsLee · 29/07/2020 11:00

@alittleprivacy

That's what I think is happening... Today I reduced my esomeprazole to 10mg to see what will happen. I will pick up my mouth wash today, but I think you are right, I think we're experiencing systemic infections. I wondered what the hell the white gunk in my nose was!

I wouldn't mind an ANA test - I presume most folks are still experiencing shiny, burny, blotchy skin?

alittleprivacy · 29/07/2020 11:28

@MillStone, thanks but we can't buy it in Ireland. It's prescription only.

alittleprivacy · 29/07/2020 12:13

Finally got to talk to the doctor. I can get my prescription in the surgery. A bit of a pain as it means getting into the city centre in the lashing rain, instead of popping to the pharmacy 3 doors away. But as least I don't have to wait until tomorrow!

Whatnext2018 · 29/07/2020 14:10

Been emailed ecg and chest x ray results..both normal..great news, but why all these things still going on and coming and going

AndsLee · 29/07/2020 14:46

@Whatnext2018 - It's all got to be autoimmune related... Sure of it.

LetsBeSensible · 29/07/2020 16:45

Glands up today and headache. Really summoning all I’ve got to put myself back on track with pacing and eating well.
I can just see and feel the effects of the last few days and Iknow for sure I’m not fit for working yet at all.
GP has now arranged another blood test on my liver, I guess third time lucky?

seriouslynonames · 29/07/2020 16:55

@TiddleTaddleTat
Is there any order to taking the various vitamins etc? Can you take all at once with breakfast or do you need to take different times or with/avoiding different foods? I know with iron you avoid taking with milk or eggs and instead take with vitamin c etc.

I have some vit c and vit d in the cupboard so will start those and get hold of the others!
Thanks!

Tootsey11 · 29/07/2020 17:13

Interested to know how many of you are back at work? I went back in May, (cleaner), and although slightly tired, it was bearable. Roll on to now and just cannot keep on my feet. I am totally exhausted. I have a heavy groggy feeling all day every day, unless I have a sleep at some point in the afternoon. My eyes are that heavy, I struggle to keep them open.

Do any of you feel this way, or is it just me?

TiddleTaddleTat · 29/07/2020 18:26

@seriouslynonames there probably is an order for taking the supplements but I don't follow anything particular... take the vitamin D and magnesium together with breakfast as I think they are meant to go together... vitamin C and zinc are combined in an effervescent pill... I also take a second magnesium about an hour before bed as I was getting pains in my calves and they reduced when I started doing this.

TiddleTaddleTat · 29/07/2020 18:27

@Tootsey11 I will be back at work in September and requesting a phased return. the only reason I feel I'm making any progress and able to pace my energy reserves at the moment is because I am off work (seasonally rather than due to being signed off).

Kitcat122 · 29/07/2020 19:46

@Whatnext2018 great news on test results

AndsLee · 29/07/2020 19:48

@alittleprivacy Can you let me know how it goes? X

KatySun · 29/07/2020 21:08

Tootsey I feel that way in phases now but not constantly (I am just under nineteen weeks). I know exactly what you mean and I used to have it every day nearly.

I am sorry you are having a relapse LetsBeSensible I hope you feel better soon. You too BeautifulPark. I am also sorry to hear of the oral thrush symptoms people are having - that must be grim on top of everything else.

Lots of posts about tests, so good news that these are clear. But as whatsnext says, what is causing the symptoms then? The post about heart damage freaked me out as of course that is where my chest pain feels like it is emanating from but I don’t know how to get any further medical attention, it has been almost impossible. I honestly do think looking back, when the pain was excruciating, I should have called an ambulance or something and then maybe I would have got some tests. But I was on my own with two DC so I just carried on - and now of course it has gone on so long, well, I am not dead so must be fine 🤷🏻‍♀️. Don’t get me wrong, being not dead is a good thing, but I would like to a reasonable explanation as to why I am still in pain.

The information on POTS is interesting. I don’t think my heart rate shoots up more than 30 aside from when I get up first thing in the morning, though. I will try to increase my water intake and remember to take the many vitamins I have in my house. The thing about salt is interesting as well, as I have been getting a lot of headaches and I remember someone from Hungary telling me ages ago that there is a special type of salt which helps with migraines. I cannot remember exactly.

Mittens030869 · 29/07/2020 23:32

I'm back after an absence. I've had symptoms since 21st February, but they did appear to be going away. But today, my temperature went up to 38.5, the highest it's been since the first 2 weeks. I've also been very breathless again. It was out of the blue, so I had a test. I've been to the pub twice in the last couple of weeks and travelled there by taxi.

Hopefully it will be negative! We're supposed to be going on holiday on Monday, which also happens to be my birthday! Shock

alittleprivacy · 29/07/2020 23:39

@AndsLee Can you let me know how it goes?

I got my prescription just before 3pm and I'd say that before 5pm they'd started to work. My throat wasn't as sore and my tongue was significantly less white. It's not fully gone yet and it feels a little worse now than it was at 5pm but a massive relief compared to how it was yesterday and this morning. I have a 7 day prescription and am hopeful it will be fully cleared up with that.

TiddleTaddleTat · 30/07/2020 17:26

How's everyone doing today?

I'm feeling very tired and am trying not to do too much but getting bored when I stay still...
so many bits of housework and decoration I want to be doing but can't ...
But am glad that I'm feeling the usual sort of tired and not the fatigue that I felt before...
About 10 good days in a row but I'm not kidding myself and still expecting a relapse

fedupofbed · 30/07/2020 18:05

Hi everyone.

@Mittens030869 I'm sorry your temperature is so high again.

@TiddleTaddleTat well done with your pacing, don't overdo it! 10 days is great.

I'm still as usual here - extreme fatigue. But my breathlessness and crazy heart rate is a bit more under control. I've spent most of the day on a lounger in the garden enjoying the sunshine. Did my daily stroll around the garden and also took a quick and joyful dip in the children's paddling pool - cold water is good for the autonomic system!

Kitcat122 · 30/07/2020 18:07

@Mittens030869 so sorry 🌹🌹
