Children going between homes

Since lockdown my dc have still seen their dad on a weekly basis. Both households were working from home and taking social distancing seriously so the risk seemed minimal. Now things are being eased of course the kids are still going but my ex is now keen to take them to family gatherings at his parents/brothers house where he will see lots of extended family who I know haven't been taking the guidelines so seriously. I don't have a problem with this as such (they have been to my parents garden a few times) but aibu to think that kids going between two homes and mixing with two sets of families are carrying a lot higher risk of picking up covid?

I'm trying not to worry but my dp is classed as high risk due to a lung condition.
