If DH tests positive

Do me and the DCs need to get tested? Or is just isolating for 14 days enough?

I work in childcare so don't want any risk of taking in to work.

You don't have to get tested but you could. Then if you test positive you could potentially go back to work after 7 days instead of 14

If he tests positive, you need to go into immediate 14 days of isolation

I would all get tested

wheresmyhairytoe · 21/06/2020 16:49

We're already isolating after he started with symptoms.

I'll send for tests for us if his comes back positive then, thank you.

You only need a test if you show symptoms assuming you are not you just need to self isolate for 14days. If you test before you show symptoms you are likely to get a negative result as your viral load will be low. Best to wait.

When I booked DD's test on the NHS website I think it was fairly clear that they wanted you to actually have symptoms. I had to select which symptoms she had before it would let me progress.

wheresmyhairytoe · 21/06/2020 21:57

OK, I'll wait and see. Fingers crossed his is negative then we can all move on.
