Hi

I currently live in the Middle East and die to many reasons the DC and I are moving back to UK in around a month whilst DH stays here.

We will be living with my sister - I’m finding it hard to get definite information on quarantine. Are we ok to go straight from the airport to her house and then stay in for 14 days? Or do I need to book something totally separate for us to stay? We would have our own bathroom etc at her house

I'm following as we are in the same situation. I presume, that you are not allowed to leave the house for 14 days? Not even for exercise?
It's my assumption that when you arrive you give the address where you will be staying, in your case, your sisters. You then make your way there and stay for 14 days as they can do spot checks.

The official info is here:

www.gov.uk/uk-border-control

As I understand it you fill in a passenger locator form prior to or on arrival, on which you enter the place you will be self isolating - that can be with family - you can only leave the place for essential purposes..

Should all be in the link.

Leaving the airport you are supposed to travel direct to your place of self isolation.

Thanks, that’s all good! We will go straight to hers and all stay in for the 14 days. She will do a massive shop before we arrive so no need to go out
