Still waiting for test results

Looking a previous threads it looks like most people have had their posted coronavirus test results back within a couple of days.

It's now been 5 days and I have heard nothing. My real concern isn't for me, my husband (39) has stage 4 terminal bowel cancer with less than 12 months life expectancy. I am staying well away from him in the house and he is wearing a mask just in case. Anyone else waiting this long? Can I contact anyone to see if there is a problem?

My husband had a test yesterday evening, I rang 119 to find out about testing but actually booked online for him, there was an option on that helpline to press if you hadn't heard anything try that.

They told him he would hear within 48hrs but I'm hoping we'll hear today, someone I know got their result the next day from the same test centre

Finally had the results back last night

Negative thankfully 👍🏻

We had our result too, 18 hours from test to text, negative too thankfully

I'm so sorry about your husband's prognosis

How did you receive your results? Email, text? Still waiting for mine, although it's still early, less than 24 hours.
