Ex-pats . . . When are you returning (if at all!)

Just wanted to ask as I know that there are a number of ex-pats here, both foreign and living in the UK or British and living overseas.

Are you planning to go home / have you booked anything? What are your concerns?

I'm planning on going from the UK to Germany in late July for 1 week. I'm happy with the precautions that the airline has implemented and where I'm from, we only have 3 Covid cases currently being treated in hospital. I'm not planning on travelling far when I'm there - only to the nearest city (also with a low infection rate).

I realise I'll probably have to put myself in quarantine when I return . . . (from a country with a much lower rate of infection. . . Hmm), but other than that, I can't see any reason not to.

Thoughts welcome!

I was meant to visit my home country in March and on the day of my flight, the government put lockdown. I am now doing the second attempt on 31st of August. Yes, quarantine for people coming from safer countries is bit ridiculous, but what can we do.
