Quite scary, right image is the ravaged lung of a 20 something otherwise healthy double lung transplant recipient whose lungs were destroyed. Evidence given to the House of Lords suggests most people who died had severely damaged lungs unlike anything ever seen before. Also new information coming to light that asymptomatic people are still seeing damage to their lungs.

That's crazy. The picture of the lung on the right looks like that of a long term heavy smoker.

How Boris Johnson sleeps at night after originally aiming for herd immunity of a new virus, I will never know.

Will people who are experiencing the long tail of the virus be taken into hospital for x-rays to see what their lungs are like? To see what their true prognosis is?

Presumably some of the lung damage can be attributed to an extended time on a ventilator?
