Some advice please.
Background
I've been sent a home covid19 test and booked the courier this aft. At 9pm I got ready to do the test but couldn't find the barcode. Thinking I must have taken it out and put it down when booking the courier I spent an hour looking. No barcode. Called nhs but they couldn't help (such as generate one for me to print off linked to my nhs file) but off record he suggested sending the test with cover note (Inc my details).
Ive been told I can't return to work unless I can send negative result to them.
I havent taken the test yet but spent 10.30-2am looking for it but I have booked a courier.
Should I take the test and try the note idea?
I can't get another test because I've been for a drive through test at weekend which was inconclusive (not my fault how staff handled the bags wasnt great so I'm guessing that was the reason).
Do feel a bit desperate.
Anyone done this and just sent it in. Can't register it online without barcode.
Any nhs people who can advise?
Absolutely certain there was no barcode. Didn't think to 100% check this lunchtime just gave a brief look and trusted them.
What would you do?
Sorry for rambling but I need to decide something.
