..if you had covid?

DP (mild asthma, as in, was diagnosed as a child and hasn’t had an inhaler since) has developed a cough today. It’s like what his normal cough sounds like, if he ever coughs. Just one short cough at a time, but it’s fairly frequent. Not like a coughing episode. He said his chest felt tight today but that can happen when it’s humid, which it has been.

He’s been back at work for over a week now. Why am I posting? I know no one can tell me what it is. I just wanted some insight I suppose. My own health anxiety has been a joke recently and I’m scared.

He needs to get tested. You all need to isolate. Any new cough needs testing

At first just a short isolated cough. Only maybe 3 times in one day. Dry. Didn't progress to coughing fits for a few days. Definitely isolate immediately and get tested. The chest tightness was there from the beginning with me as well.

My ds only had an occasional cough, then on day 6 he had breathlessness for a day, he had to sit up all night, next morning he had horrendous coughing fit and brought up a load of phelgm and the just occassional cough continued for a couple more wees.

Thanks all. Going to order a test and isolate from now. I’m not working anyway (just finished pgce) so that’s fine. We haven’t been around anyone for two weeks other than DP being at work - not in supermarkets etc, so most likely he’s got it from work. Fucks sake but what can you do!
Looking forward to many sleepless nights 🙃
