What’s the current plan for the country?

First we had save the NHS
Then suppress the curve.
Then we were waiting for track and trace
What are we waiting to happen? For the numbers to be at a certain level?
I’m a bit lost of where we are headed.
Are we trying to eliminate it? Or live with it?

Johnson is also a bit lost of where we are headed.

The scientists are distancing themselves from his lostness.

So, it's all looking tickety-boo.

Opening lockdown gradually while monitoring infections via contact tracing and testing, 14 day voluntary self isolation for most new arrivals from abroad or those in contact with infected people.
Carrying on with investment in potential vaccine and treatment programmes.
Seems pretty sensible to me Smile

Well everything we have is world beating isn't it, especially our amount of dead from covid.

Mummypig2020 · 14/06/2020 16:05

I honestly don’t know. The death rate is so low. 38 today. It’s awful that they have died but everyone else’s lives are being ruined.

Weepinggreenwillow · 14/06/2020 16:06

definitely aiming high -
one of the wort death rates in the world, and of course one of the most damaged economies in the world.
and seems they are going for the hat trick by ensuring we have the most educaitonally disadvantged and damaged children as well.

pallasathena · 14/06/2020 16:06

Delay responding to the pandemic because we're invincible!
Practise social distancing because well, we're not invincible after all
But the NHS has to remain invincible
Protect the NHS
No PPE to protect the NHS
Spin the mortality rate numbers
Pin everything on following 'The Science'
Panic at the state of the economy
Open all the shops, pubs and restaurants
Wait for the second wave of Covid to hit
Rinse and repeat

nomorefencepostsplease · 14/06/2020 16:10

There is no plan. They'll get up tomorrow and give the "wheel of nonsense ideas" a spin and go with whatever the pointer lands on.

Repeat every 24 hours.

Freddiefox · 14/06/2020 16:29

So as I feared, I haven’t missed then.

Is there a reason why we can’t buy the track and trace app from another country that has it up and running?

It wouldn't have been operated and owned by one of Cumming's mates? So no chance for one of their mates to get richer?
