Open the public toilets!

Other countries have got their public toilets open.

It is discriminatory and unhygenic and 18th century to not have public toilets open.

I feel particularly sorry for children.

Cleaners are presumably key workers. They could be closed at intervals say for 15 mins to allow cleaners to work, social distancing.

We’ll have clothes shops open but no public toilets?!? for example in the royal parks in london.

This is really bothering me. My bladder is so bad. I'd love to go for a long walk but unless it's to a secluded wood, I can't. Of course men can just piss in a corner.

The point of toilets being closed is partly to discourage people from going out for long periods of time, partly because of how physically close it forces users to be and partly because of the difficulties of cleaning it often enough.

Everyone seems to want everything back to the way it was in March but if we do that then the COVID will spread just the way it did then. This is why I think loosing the 'stay at home' message in england was a mistake. yes you can go out and about more than before but it is not a free for all.

I agree with that helpfulperson
As I said we've chosen to keep ours shut.
This is also a reason - If we leave them open it will encourage our regulars to stay for longer, which is what they done pre-lockdown, often for hours and hours but that isn't allowed now. Tables and chairs have been removed from the floor to discourage loitering as well.

Yeah, I pissed in an alley behind someone's house today on a walk to the park today (park toilet closed). It is unhygienic for others and degrading for me. But I have pelvic floor issues following birth and will not be housebound. I can't believe it's come to this ☹️
