Lockdown confusion

This isn’t a post to complain about the following scenario but rather to hopefully clear up my confusion as I’ve realised I’ve no idea what is currently the rules regarding lockdown. We are all self isolating here so a bit out of touch with the real world at the moment.

A group of 6 people, all from different households but work together, currently all furloughed. Do the new rules allow for a meet up indoors? At their place of work (currently closed as per gov guidance) if that makes a difference. At least three have other jobs that they are still going in to a different office/company for - does that mean as they’re already ‘going out’ they can meet up with others from different households?

I’m aware that this may come across like I disagree with their choices etc - I really don’t, but I’m trying to keep up to date with the guidance and it’s so confusing Blush

Tricky one I think.
If they are going purely to socialise then i think it's a no.
If they are going to catch up and prepare business for reopening then maybe ok along as social distancing adhered to

Thanks Duck it was a bit of both I think. I don’t feel as embarrassingly uninformed now though with you saying it’s a tricky one, so thanks Grin

6 people can meet up if socially distanced for any purpose they want but I can't remember if it's supposed to be outdoors.
However more than 6 people can go to work without social distancing if it's not possible. If they are meeting for work reasons they can meet in the office. If it's social I think it should be outdoors, but they are definitely allowed to meet.

Thanks Code it was the indoor/outdoor part I got stuck on.

I think it either has to be outdoors, or it can be inside an employers premises as long as the employer has made the office/warehouse covid secure per government guidelines.
