Dsd lives with her mum who is a lone parent. She will form a bubble with her parents which is great as dsd has missed them and they would look after her so. Mum can work. (we offered but because dh got a CAO she says 'it's not your days') despite trying to help her as she can be awkward but generally OK.
Anyway. We will have a bubble with my DF who is a single person and my teen sibling stays occasionally there.

So when dsd is with us she's part of our household. So therefore should be able to be in the bubble with my DF?

Its a 40/60 shared care.

Is this allowed. What I've read says yes but I see conflicting things. And we don't want to get in a disagreement with his ex.

As children have always been allowed to go between households I expect that is the same for bubbles. Otherwise if mother bubbles with her parents your dsd cannot see her dad.

I don't know though, that is just what I would see as the spirit of it.

Yeah that's my thoughts. Thank you.

Yes, children can be part of 2 bubbles in this situation.

The guidance specifically allows for this, yes. But also warns it needs thinking about as it creates chains of transmission. Eg if any one person in any of the households has symptoms everyone involved must isolate until tested.

Wouldn't even worry about it.

We've been doing this. We now have dp us xh in a linked chain.

It's made the whole thing bearable and the dcs have had a regular change of scene. I can't wait for one!
