Seems very tense to me...

No more than it has been for the last couple of weeks, IMO

It's like watching a repeat of a lousy show that should never have been made in the first place.

They think if they don't come out and say next to nothing every night then everybody will forget them - one thing they are right about.

I just love the R number explanation. These people have not got a clue what it really is so they cobble together some modelling to come up with a figure that gives the answer they want to tell us.

They want to maintain the impression that we are still (as always) just a hairs breadth away from catastrophe (an R OF 1 !!!!).

That way they hope we'll all be compliant.
