Doesn't surprise me. Imagine what a two or three week earlier lockdown would have achieved. My conscience is clear. I wrote, I lobbied, I posted on social media, I sent our staff home two weeks early to wfh.

Now? Too late for all this shit. Our lockdown has been a joke. Economic mayhem dragged out far too long. Too little too late. Just admit we are going to end up following the Sweden model and get on with it. Didn't want Sweden? Should have spoken up late Feb/early March.

I hope all those now so keen on permanent lockdown were not the twats who didn't notice the virus until we actually locked down. Too late, mate, too late for all that virtue signalling now.

Not news this is it? Common sense left the building before this thing started

It's a disgrace and to watch the new plans being outlined this very minute I feel we are doomed . Truly epic and Unforgivable failures from this government.

Tragic

'could'

midgebabe · 10/06/2020 17:27

And probably also reduced the economic impact because we would be a couple of weeks closer to a low level of circulating virus , because it takes longer to come down than go up so every week higher is a few weeks more to come down

MrsKCastle · 10/06/2020 17:29

Yeah. Like my Dad, who likely caught COVID in that last week before lockdown.
He was still going out, saying 'Well I don't think I need to worry too much, I'm pretty healthy.'

Maybe he's correct. We wont ever know will we?

However, how can anyone respect what Neil Ferguson says about lockdown when he so easily broke it himself for a shag?

Mnthrowaway20202 · 11/06/2020 01:38

Devastating if true, we’ll never know. I feel so sorry for anyone that’s lost someone

OhTheRoses · 11/06/2020 01:47

He got SARS and MERS wrong and a few other things too. He also said 500k would die if we didn't lockdown and then broke lockdown with his married lover.
