Please give me a glimmer of hope. I dont have a partner or children and I live alone. I miss my family a lot. I am really down. I am working but my hours have dropped a fair bit. I just need a realistic glimmer of hope. When will I be able to see my family overnight? What is the latest on a vaccine (yes i know no guarantee) im just so low and all I see is bad news on the news!

It's just been announced that single people can stay the night with loved ones www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52998806

At last!

Great news for people living alone. Not good news for partners that live with parents🙁

@catsmother seems a silly and unenforceable rule to me.

It’s basically just to allow people who are in relationships but living separately to join up.

I'm just taking encouragement that it's not me yet but hopefully this means it's getting closer

I live in NI so still in the same shitty situation Sad

Great news for the lonely people in England.

My mum is having a meltdown because she is in Wales.

emmathedilemma · 10/06/2020 17:53

I'm with you on this and it's ok them saying you can meet people outside but when you live a few miles away, aren't allowed in the house and there's no public toilets open it somewhat limits the options!!
If we're stuck working from home til the end of the year (and I fear that is going to be the reality) i'm going to go out of my mind!

Great news for lots of people! Nothing will really change for me, but definitely a step in the right direction!
