Has anyone done this and got any experience to share?

I've been called by NHS (after volunteering online) and been asked to go donate monday.

Anyone know what happens?

Matt Hancock has done it more than once. Grin

There was another thread about this. Perhaps do an advanced search. I think the essence was that it takes about 40 minutes, it's a bit like giving blood, and, no, it doesn't hurt and it's an altruistic thing to do.

Thank you! Good to know it doesn't hurt, wouldn't have stopped me doing it but reassuring all the same. I couldn't find a thread but will have another look. I'll come back and update once I've been in case anyone searches in future Grin

Dh gives blood and plasma regularly (rare blood group), he's given pints of the stuff over the years and said it's completely pain free and takes between 20 to 40 mins depending on how much of a bleeder you are 😆. It's a really fabulous thing to do you will be helping so many fellow humans 💐
