Covid re-test

Has anyway who has previously tested positive had a re-test?

I was invited to take a test 5 weeks ago as I was filling in the Kings college app and mentioned a few mild symptoms such as sore throat, fatigue and muscle ache. Too my surprise I tested positive. At no point have I had a cough or loss of taste/smell and only a couple of days of mild fever a few days after the positive test. Struggled with fatigue for a good few weeks and some shortness of breath but think some of this may have been anxiety related to the fact Id tested positive.

Yesterday, I was invited through the kings college app again to have a re-test. My question basically is what happens if you test positive again?

I have been completely symptom free for at least 10 days now and then NHS texts told me I could stop self isolating ages ago.

While I’m waiting for the results and if I test positive again would I have to go back into isolation? I’ve read of people shedding the virus after recovery but that they are no longer contagious. Not sure how I’d cope mentally if the test was still positive.

Can’t really find much information on line and not sure it’s worth wasting the dr or 111s time to ask the question.
