Unless you are spending just a few minutes at your friends house it's not the same thing as going to the shops.
You can go to the beach (always could if you live near one).
You cannot stay at anyones house as that's not social distancing, is it.
Some rules do seem contradictory but it's a balancing act.
As for exact answers - Boris doesn't know. Asking the same question over and over will not get a new answer.

It's not what you are allowed or not allowed to do that matters. It's the actions of the part of the population who believe they are invincible and that no rules, however sensible, apply to them. I shall be sticking to my lockdown practices thanks very much.

At the moment it’s trial and error, Boris doesn’t know the answers. We have to wait and see what happens. I don’t think it will be normal per se for a long time yet.

The toilet situation is pissing me off atm.

You can queue for 2 hours to get in B&Q spend as much money as you like but once your in you can't use the toilet.. and repeat with a few other shops.

We're still in stage 4, moving towards stage 3, if the 5 tests are met. Boris seems intent on sticking to his timeline despite those tests NOT being met. The virus hasn't gone away and any increase in movements without effective tracking and tracing is going to increase the spread in the community.

If everyone kept to social distancing, this would help keep the spread down, but that's simply not happening.

We're not back to normal.

My questions fo Boris:
When will my children be allowed an education again, full time.
If they dont go back full time in September and I have to give up my job to manage this who will pay my mortgage, bills, buy food for the children?

If I utilise the keyworker provision for them so I can keep my job they will then be excluded from their own year groups, all their friends and relevant teaching on the days their years are in (to be kept in the keyworker "bubble")- so my children will be penalised for the fact that I am an NHS clinician - I have been working full time since March in a patient facing role dealing with unbelievable amounts of shit and now my children will suffer because of this - how is this fucking fair Boris???

When you cancelled GCSEs and A Levels you stated no child's future opportunities would be disadvantaged - my 16 yr old (with ASD and an EHCP) now can not do the A levels she had chosen, we can't utilise the carefully planned provision we had in place for her post 16 as this would have involved attending 2 different sites which college is now saying wont be allowed, she now has no plan in place for post 16 and we can not make a plan for her because no school or college is processing new applications due to all the uncertainty - so my question is how are you going to put right the fact that actually her future opportunities have basically been screwed, her mental health has plummeted and she is left in limbo?

I await the asnwers with eager anticipation.....

Why can we not stay overnight if we socially distance eg stay in a different bedroom and make sure we social distance outside in the garden the rest of the time.

Why can't 2 totally shielding households meet up and stay (my friend's parent lives far away on own and she lives alone). I suggested she move house since neither are infected since both shielding but it's illegal so she is worried. Seems a shame and not go for either of them,

When can we give a friend/family a lift in a car? I mean if we work at the same place we are officially allowed to car share, but if they need a lift somewhere else they have to get a taxi, as I am not allowed to give them a lift to other places!

When will partners be able to be together again (allowed to hug, and stay over)?

When will zoos be able to open? How could it possibly be safer to sit inside a pub, and not be outside at a zoo?

When will we be able to go on holiday (uk) or stay with family in a different part of the country (even in a tent in the garden)?

Not for me, no. My 8 year old will be receiving no education whatsoever. My 6 year old will be in school for four half days a week. I have no idea when I'll be able to see my colleagues again in the office. I'll still be working 5 days a week when I'm paid for 3.5 because there is so much work to be done.

I don't know when I'll ever see my parents or ILs again as they live 4 hours drive away.

I can't take my DCs to the zoo we are members of or a playground. We've cancelled our holiday.

We are fit and well and I am genuinely grateful for that but I'm afraid the shops opening will in no way bring my life closer to normal.

Why arent the rights of our children to have the full time education previous generations have received (including us) higher up on their agenda?

Why are childrens rights to be children being abolished in favour of a tiny portion of the country who could die from this virus.

Why wont the government come out and be honest about the fact that there is numerous scientific papers coming out stating that schools are not death in a brick box!

When will the children become a priority given they are the future of this country!

When will the government recognise that lockdown has been far more damaging on mental health & other conditions than covid has been on the country.

Where will the money come from to increase MH provisions over and above where they were pre lockdown, because the situation now will be so so much worse given primary school & high school children have been neglected so badly in their need for school & to have friendships.

Many of you complaining about schools don’t seem to realise that they are staffed by adults. Some of these adults are in the clinically extremely vulnerable group! Our school is missing a quarter of staff as they are shielding. We can not safely have all children back . Perhaps you would you like classes of 40-50 all crammed in one room so your children can be back at school. Never mind the risk to staff and the children!

You can do most of these things. You may not be technically allowed to do them but you can do them.

I am going to my daughter's later. We will be having wine - I will come home tomorrow.

I will maintain a 2m distance as far as possible with strangers and I will continue to wash my hands after touching anything touched by anyone else. I will also get on with my life as normally as possible.

You can visit your friend and socially distance in the garden. Obviously if you choose to go in to the house that is your choice. Otherwise meet outside for a walk.
You can go to the beach without vilification. We’ve been twice, you don’t have to tell anyone else where you are going or what you are doing. We chose a fairly quiet area with open toilets.

I’d like to know about staying elsewhere. My DP and I don’t live together so haven’t slept in the same house since March 19th. It’s beyond tough
