  • Quarantine of planes for 14 days -

Why now??? Why was this not done at the v beginning, before and during lockdown, so it could be eased now for the summer tourist season?

  • Face Masks on public transport -

Why now? Why not at the start like EVERY OTHER country was doing but our government said no evidence for this.

  • Shielders coming out and mixing

Why now? Shielders should have been shielded from THE VERY START, and what's changed?

  • Testing -

Why were we not ON THIS in flipping March, why did it take til the last couple of days of April

  • Track and trace -

As above!! Why the flip was this not inplace in FEB / MARCH?

Too little, too late. WAY TOO little too late. This country is a laughing stock and I feel embarrassed by our governments response.

I agree just show how slow and lumbering we are. Also technology wise none of our it systems work despite huge costs so not surprising it wont work i would be more surprised it it did.
Plus loads of idiots refusing to download it.
Face masks in usa was about a month ago. Its like they take extra time to calculate - if we carry on like this

  • We cant have foreign holidays
  • Schools cant fully reopen
Bars etc
  • Cant fully reopen nhs either

I'm British but live in the Czech Republic where we've had less than 330 deaths. We shut down schools at 40 cases- the UK only did this at around 5000 . All gyms and restaurants were closed within 10 days of a state of emergency being declared. Group meetings and public events were banned.Mandatory face masks when out from the start. Private testing for anyone who wanted it.

Having lost a friend who is one of the NHS workers who died- I agree. The UK's response has been a complete and utter joke. Our government has blood on their hands.

Also we banned 15 countries from entering which included the UK. We had entry from set border controls and mandatory quarantine for everyone entering.

Anyone could see what was happening in China. We had time to prepare. I'm ashamed to be British. Our headlines also ran "Lax Britain ".
