Janey Godley a Scottish comedian does a voice over of Nicola sturgeons daily briefing, today she mentioned Mumsnet...me thinks she's been following us, you can find her on Facebook, probably other platforms too!

I used to follow her on Twitter but she screams bigot and blocks anyone who doesn't agree that TWAW. She'll unblock occasionally, tell you again that you're a bigot and block you.
Shame, I liked her videos.

@Abouttoblow the same happened to me too. I disagreed with her political viewpoint on something, she used her "ram it, Bunty" line and blocked me. Does it to everyone who disagrees with her narrow minded views and then slags them off once they have no right of reply. Her sycophantic followers all pile on too.
I honestly think she's bonkers.
These updates were funny to begin with but she's struggling a bit now and they're samey.
Someone once told me she's got multiple Twitter accounts and uses them to stir things up a bit.
Weird. Weird. Weird.

That's a shame. I loved the monologue she wrote and performed, which hinted at coercive control. I'd expect her capable of more nuanced discussion.

Bebbanburger · 04/06/2020 16:49

I watch. I love the silliness.

Abouttoblow · 04/06/2020 16:55

She gets vile abuse from supporters of a certain football team because her uncle was jailed for abusing her sister and her. I can't believe the way she attacks women who don't agree with her. As Janey is a survivor of sexual abuse and the daughter of a woman murdered by a violent partner I would have thought her priority would be trying to protect women's rights. I'll never understand her motivation.

UpTheRhineWithoutAPaddle · 04/06/2020 17:02

@Abouttoblow I'm of the same opinion. I just don't get it. I think she's trying to be edgy and right-on but just appears a bit deranged.
The football supporter thing is awful too. Nobody deserves that.

Abouttoblow · 04/06/2020 17:05

Absolutely UpTheRhine I stepped in many times.

BilboBercow · 04/06/2020 17:25

I thought some of the videos were funny at first but she seems like an arsehole on Twitter

Jingstohang · 04/06/2020 17:32

Shes probably mentioned mumsnet because her daughter ashley is involved in an "are we being unreasonable" podcast at the moment.

Mightymurphy · 04/06/2020 18:17

Frank, get the door.

dementedma · 04/06/2020 18:19

They were funny at first but now very samey. I thought the monologue was utterly brilliant though. Very well performed.

MissAnanke · 04/06/2020 19:23

I loved the first video I seen, it was hilarious but it's like no real thought has gone into the others.

Where did Frank Get The Door come from, the briefing videos?

MintyMabel · 04/06/2020 20:27

The first couple were funny. Now they’re just not. NS has made a big show of sharing them, making her seem relatable and all that.
