I apologise If this post makes me sound overly paranoid, but here goes...

I have a company car and I’m currently on maternity leave.
The car is due to be swapped and my employer has contacted me and asked me to go to work to do a car swap.

I’ve told them it’s not really practical for me to go as my husband is at work (wfh) and I don’t want to take the baby with me to do the swap.

They have arranged for my manager to drive the car to my home and take my old one back.

I’m just wondering if there’s any risk there.
I plan to leave the keys on my doorstep and my manager will post the new keys.
But will I need to take any further precautions in terms of the car as she’s driven it?

I was planning on just leaving it for for a few days before I drive it.

I know I’m probably being over cautious here, but I do suffer with anxiety and having a new baby I want to make sure I’m being careful.

When we got a new car at the start we didn’t get in it or use it for 9 days

At the time that was what people were saying the life of the covid bug on hard surfaces was

The man who delivered it wore gloves as Well...no idea if that made a difference

Wow 9 days. I haven’t seen that anywhere.
I have seen that it can live on surfaces for up to 72 hrs.
We aren’t planning on using the car over the weekend so it would be 3 or 4 days before we used it and we would give it a wipe down inside before we get In.

I think its gone down a lot, so yeah the 3/4 days and good clean sounds good to me
