As title says, I'm due to donate over the weekend. Slightly nervous. I'm a regular donor so not worrying about needles. Just what do they have in place and things.

Staff in face masks. Chairs 2m apart. Nothing to worry about.

I've had my appointment cancelled because of the virus.

I donated in early April, regular donor. They had a separate room for pre questions related to COVID. Then, waiting room then the normal questions and prick test. All very safe, staff and chairs far apart, nurses were happy to see donors still coming!

I had to cancel my appointment as I couldn't get there without using public transport.

If it had been a walk away, I would be gone, as all efforts being made to be as safe as possible.

Yes nicely spaced. Staff in masks. I wore one too because I think people should when in busy or indoor places - I'm under 50 so not worried about whether I personally catch it.

Do you have an appointment? I think it's appointment only, no more drop-in donations allowed so they can control numbers at any one time. I donated last month and I was nervous but everyone was in masks, and because it was very structured with appointments there was much less waiting around, it took less time than normal.

I donated last week - was in a big sports hall twenty minutes walk from home, so no trouble either with spacing inside or me getting there. They had a sort of triage desk at the entrance where they checked you hadn't had CoVid symptoms in the last 14 days, only let you in 10 minutes before your appointment so that social distancing could be maintained between donors, all the staff wore masks, one way system in place so you exited through a different door to the entrance, cold drinks only at the snacks table and you served yourself, donation chairs and waiting chairs all at least 2m apart. Was excellent and I had no worries about anything whilst there. Was really efficient too, was in an out in less than half an hour rather than the hour it usually takes!

I had an app on Friday. Nurses in masks and 2m distance. I took my own water bottle with me. Absolutely fine .
