Still no date for school return (reception)

Has anyone not had a date yet for their reception child to return to school?

We had an email last week to say they are waiting on the local authority but other schools in the area have returned.

I will contact them next week but was just wondering if anyone else is in the same position? I’m just keen to find out if he will be returning or not, but I don’t want to seem impatient by pestering them.

All of North Somerset are still waiting. The council want to see what happens with Weston hospital / CV cases in the area before opening schools. So no definite date given yet.

That sounds odd. Are the other schools academies? If not, I'd pester personally.

DS's school started Reception on Tuesday and Nursery today. I've seen children at the other school near us going in since Tuesday.

The other schools are not academies within our LA, and they are back, or at least have been set a date to return. I will email tomorrow now, my son could really do with going back now and I gave a firm yes when they initially asked.

Ours have only taken y6 back so far, they said they’re working on seeing if they can open to y1 but have no plans for yR

Y1 parent here, we haven't got a date yet. Other schools in our area have gone back, but I've no idea how many. We're an academy though.

We've had lots of letters about risk assessments etc. There are also a lot of key worker children already in our school, so I think thats why they're struggling to open to other groups just yet.

My reception child is going back in on Monday we were informed of this date before half term
