Autumn/winter

Is anyone else worried about autumn and winter, if we are still in the same or a similar situation? All the queuing outside shops in the freezing cold and rain, then the staying indoors without being able to use gardens/outside space or go out properly, like most of us are now. I can imagine it being throughly awful, particularly for those of us with young children. No more soft plays (I can imagine they won’t be open for a while).
Hopefully playgroups will be open by then. But everything else is going to be extremely miserable.

They're mooting opening up hospitality in July possibly and cinemas soon. Hoping by winter goodness things might be better?

Cant say I'm worried. If it happens it happens. Will deal with that in winter.

Things could be better by winter

If we get treatment, possible
If we get a vaccine, unlikely in that timescale
If it's run through the population and worn itself out ( hundreds of thousands dead) , not impossible
If we sort out test and trace and so almost eradicate the virus , which requires somewhat better government than we have now

Not terribly sure what we are headed for. I am staying as close to lockdown as possible to give them a shot at test and trace

I have a gut feeling winter won't be bad for the virus spread. Soc-distancing is a way of life now.

Winter will be miserable with no Xmas parties, pubs, big group meals out or swimming pools while having to Q in the driving rain to even get in a supermarket. But people will accept those things.

Yes I cannot get my head around the moment that anyone gets a cough they isolate for two weeks in the winter! )or rather the whole family does!£ goodness we will never leave the house if covid and cold season coincide!

I think things will be worse before we get to the winter.
