When can visiting in care homes start again ?

Does anyone know when this is likely to be.
I miss my gran desperately and I don't know how much longer I can not see her for.
It's been 5 weeks and I've never gone more than 7 days in my life.

I think each one is different. My mum's is allowing visits in the garden socially distanced.

My mum's has done a few visits in the garden. You could try asking if this is a possibility. My mum is very high risk though so so far they have not permitted her a visitor at all.

You have seriously never gone away on holiday/travelling etc for more than 7 days?

It must be so hard not seeing her, but I wouldn't be going anytime soon & id be hoping the carehome stays on strict lockdown to keep other people's relatives from giving it to your Gran!

Can they/do they facilitate FaceTime/Skype?

I know it's not the same, but it does help.
