Post COVID ‘Car Exhaust Fumes’

Does anyone who has recovered from COVID-19 keep ‘smelling’ and ‘tasting’ something like car exhaust fumes when there are definitely none? (Even had gas engineer check there are no untoward fumes from the boiler.)

I have this every now and again I get a weird sensation and taste in my mouth and nose is this normal?? Never been tested for Covid but was really ill at Christmas (when this was supposedly not here)
