Booking holidays alongside test and trace

Matt Hancock mentioned in today’s daily briefing that one of the things that we could look forward soon to was booking a holiday. Great, except what about test and trace? Which will presumably be in place until there’s a vaccine / treatment.

If you’re on holiday and you get a call from test and trace, where do you isolate? Can you drive home ala Cummings? What happens when the holiday cottage kicks you out at the end of your stay? Assuming this is all within the UK of course.

And what if you’ve booked the holiday and are then told to isolate so you can’t go on holiday? Travel insurance won’t cover that.

Sounds like more government hyperbole, if you’re contacted tough shit your holiday is down the pan.

We were meant to going to a holiday house on the Isle of Wight in August. Looks like we'll have to cancel as I just don't see how that would work with Track and Trace.

This is a biggy. You’re about to get on the plane and suddenly it’s all over. DH reckons it will become mandatory to show at the airport to prove you’re virus free.
