Meeting more than one person

AIBU to be upset about this? If a parent wants to take their kids for a picnic, is it OK if they plan to meet another relative or 2 who just happen to be in the same spot on different picnic blankets 2m apart? To me this is clearly a gathering of more than 2 people and not allowed. The other person argues that its no different to taking kids for a picnic and sitting more than 2m away from complete strangers. Which logically does make sense but not really in the spirit of the rules. Or does nobody care any more thanks to DC?!

I’m fairly sure no one cares now.

I don’t have family close by but I’ve happened to see friends at the local park and then sat socially distant and had a chat. Isn’t remotely any different whether it was a chance meeting or an organised one.

I don’t think anyone gives a shiny shite now.

Just go for it. Our best friends came round tonight and we went for a walk together. My husband walked with the other husband about 3 meters behind me and my friend. It's also my dads birthday so we all happened to be in a park at the same time. It's quite easy to be 2 meters or more apart x

Sounds like I need to chill out a bit then 😂 it's my soon to be ex planning to do so with my kids so thought I might be over reacting due to the context. Everyone else has given up by the sounds of it

Why should a single parent not be able to meet up with anyone? I’m a single parent so no one to leave my kids with if I did want to meet someone. I don’t care about the rules anymore anyway and was at a garden party yesterday

I ended up in this situation in the park yesterday. I saw a friend (unplanned) so stopped to have a distanced chat. Then another friend passed by, so we had a three-way distanced chat. I spent the whole time veering from feeing guilty to feeling semi-normal again Sad
