Anyone know if there’s something that explains it? I haven’t heard it mentioned so apologies if I’ve missed something. Over 4K new cases today which is the highest since 2.5 weeks ago.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 26/05/2020 21:31

DahliaDay · 26/05/2020 21:31

I’m seeing 4000+ too

CuntyBumpkin · 26/05/2020 21:32

Where are you seeing 4000 new cases? The dept of health says 2000.

Read the note on Twitter it explains it all. Something about missing cases were added.

Lordfrontpaw · 26/05/2020 21:34

When was VE Day again?

Drivingdownthe101 · 26/05/2020 21:34

It was 2004 new cases today, not 4k.

homemadecommunistrussia · 26/05/2020 21:35

I thought new cases wasn't a good indicator as who gets tested and testing capacity keeps changing.

feelingverylazytoday · 26/05/2020 21:38

It's 2004 new cases today, which is actually slighter more than yesterday, but more tests were done today.

PatriciaHolm · 26/05/2020 21:38

It's made up of around 2000 new cases from the most recent testing plus 2000 being back added from days ago, due to imperfect (!) data collections. They aren't all new cases, it's misleading.

Saladmakesmesad · 26/05/2020 22:06

Oh thank goodness! Thank you. Gave me a horrid feeling.
