Do you think we’ll be going?

I want to start by saying I don’t think we will be going but BIL thinks we will.
We booked to go to florida for 2 weeks on July 1st. Me, DH, DD and DS and BIL, SIL and DN. It hasn’t been cancelled. We were going to stay in Disney and then universal.
I don’t think it’s going to happen, is it?
Honestly I really don’t think it will and even if it does i don’t particularly want to go anymore

I really don't think so and tbh there's no chance I would go even if it were permitted

Waxonwaxoff0 · 25/05/2020 16:16

No, not July.

IncrediblySadToo · 25/05/2020 16:17

No idea.

But I wouldn't go. No way.

Plus don't forget to add in potential
2 week quarantine on return.

Figgygal · 25/05/2020 16:18

I wouldn’t bother as i doubt The parks are going to be open

It’s not going to be the holiday you paid for

NotKeenOnSwede · 25/05/2020 16:33

I've got Majorca booked for October and I'll be amazed if even that goes ahead. America in July? No chance sorry.

irwellmummy · 25/05/2020 16:37

We were booked for Florida on July 20th and aren’t going. We just aren’t willing to risk getting ill while in America and wonder how pleasant it would be trying to social distance in the theme parks. It’s just not likely to be the holiday of a lifetime that we imagined so we’ve decided to re ill for next year.

nobbymcphailisverypale · 25/05/2020 18:30

Not much is going to change in the next 5 weeks, sorry!
It's also highly likely your insurance wouldn't cover you for CV related issues. You really don't want to be in the US with fully comp insurance.
Have you tried to cancel?

JeffreyJefferson · 25/05/2020 19:23

Thanks for the replies, it’s what I thought.

Can’t cancel because BIL wants to see how it goes Hmm

I would be disappointed too. However.... does your BIL understand that US healthcare costs if your insurance doesn't cover you? It would be such a risk.

I hope you can reschedule for next year. Nothing would convince me to go to America in a month, even if the travel was possible!
